Challenge #14
In your own space, create your own fandom challenge.



A relatively simple challenge: please read/write/draw/etc something with a woman as the main focus this year.

If you're not sure where to start, here are just a few places to use as a springboard: halfamoon which runs Feb 1-Feb 14 for a variety of women-centric works and recs, femslashfete which is a weekly prompt community for femslash pairings, ladiesbingo which annually runs from Sept through March, and rarefemslashexchange a multi-fandom exchange which will reveal works in February.

For the record, this is an ongoing challenge for myself as well! (I... still need to start on my ladies bingo card 😅)

In your own space, share your love for a trope, cliché, kink, motif, or theme.



There are plenty of tropes/themes that came to mind for me immediately at seeing this prompt, like "food as a metaphor for love" or "getting trapped beneath rubble together" (I have been writing about both of those lately... not in the same fics tho lol). But the one I wanna talk about is bed sharing/literal sleeping together.

Challenge #8
In your own space, write a promo, manifesto or primer for a beloved character, relationship or fandom.



I don't get to talk about it as much, but I consider Japanese music as one of my fandoms too. And so, for this challenge, I put together an intro primer to several of my favorite all-lady j-rock and j-metal bands. I've been meaning to make a post like this for a while now!

As much as I enjoy fandom, this was a hard one to come up with something immediately. Well, at least something with specifics. But after some thinking, I did have one particular thing that came to mind.

I'm happy to be participating in the Snowflake Challenge again this year!

I have updated my intro post with a slightly more accurate fandom list, and to cut down on some wordiness of the post in general. And I also took a moment to add some more interests listed on my profile page

And while I was at it, I decided to update my ao3 profile too. (I'd been meaning to do this for a few months.) It now includes some permission statements.
