Challenge #10
Five Things! The five things are totally up to you.
Since today I'm celebrating 10 years since I first joined ao3 and posted my first fic (🥳), I think it'll be okay to self-rec five fics for this one!
My focus will be on wlw fics because they never get as much love as my other fics. And I'm trying to focus on writing women more in upcoming fics too 🥰
So here are five favorites (in no particular order) that I've written:
☆ the hardest part (Avatar the Last Airbender, Katara/Yue)
Yue waits patiently for Katara to return home.
I love writing sci-fi AUs, and this one was fun even though it’s very short. I just love the idea of ATLA in a space setting. (Of course I had to put the Water Tribe on a moon!)
☆ A Study in Efficiency (Star Trek Voyager, B'Elanna/Seven)
An AU where B'Elanna and Seven are roommates at Starfleet Academy.
This was fun to think about a different way these two characters could meet and grow closer. This was my first time writing this ship, and I think I wanna write more fics for them in the future too!
☆ Balance and Swing (My Hero Academia, Ochako/Mina)
Ochako and Mina sign up for dance lessons and fall in love along the way.
I was feeling nostalgic about the one time I went contra dancing and then somehow ended up with 10k words. I've written several fics for this ship, but this one is my favorite. The story just fell into place very nicely.
☆ Haircare for Dummies (Yu Yu Hakusho, Botan/Shizuru)
Five times Shizuru does Team Urameshi's hair (plus one time Botan styles Shizuru's)
I love Shizuru! She never gets enough screentime, so thank goodness we can fix that in fic. This was a fun one to explore how she interacts with the rest of the team, while her relationship with Botan develops too.
☆ rainwater running down her face (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Kudelia/Atra)
Kudelia and Atra get caught in the rain
This show broke my heart into 20 million little pieces, and I do enjoy exploring grief in post-canon stories for this series. But also, these girls deserve some happiness too! So I couldn't resist writing something sweet for them 🥰
All of these fics pretty much just sappy fluff because that's who I am as a person, but I hope to keep writing a variety of wlw stories in the future~!
