I put together a little mini masterpost of what I created for halfamoon 2025! The annual 14-day fest is about celebrating women, so I wrote some ficlets for my favorite ladies in a variety of fandoms 🥰 (I tried to do ones I didn't feature last year)

I finally finished and posted my intoabar fic this week!

☆ A flame in the land of ice and snow (Yu Yu Hakusho, Avatar the Last Airbender)

My prompt this year was Hiei walks into a bar and meets Katara! I had kinda hoped for a character that would work for a humor fic, but the vibe wasn't there for these two. So I went with a different idea, and I'm really happy with how it turned out!

While I'm here, I also want to share last year's fic too:

☆ The family disappointment (My Hero Academia, Yu Yu Hakusho)

That prompt was Iida Tenya walks into a bar and meets Hiei. It was my first time participating, so this one was a bit difficult to write. But ultimately, I'm happy with my idea for this fic too.

Lastly, I persuaded my friend to sign up this year too, and I read her fic last night. It's a ton of fun! I was grinning to myself the whole time

☆ Mission Accomplished (My Hero Academia, Haikyuu!!)

Todoroki Shouto walks into a bar and meets Tanaka! I'm not really familiar with Haikyuu but it wasn't necessary to enjoy this fic!

I'm hoping to check out more of this year's fics soon. There were a lot that looked really interesting to me 👀

To celebrate Three Weeks for Dreamwidth, I posted a couple of fics this week. They'll be cross-posted to ao3 sometime after May 15, but for now, you can read them here on my journal 🥰

All four fics were a part of my hanami fic project, which was simply to write fics featuring hanami as some part of the story. Hanami is a common springtime activity in Japan where people gather to view cherry blossoms (sakura) at the peak of their blooming. It's usually a nice little picnic!

Daylight Savings time change was last night, and I definitely feel that missing hour of sleep. But on the bright (haha) side, I'm looking forward to more sunshine in the evenings now!

As I mentioned in my most recent weekly summary, I actually did a little bit of art over the weekend! It's been over a year since I've touched my sketchbook, but I had a silly idea and just had to try drawing it.

Saturday was the Lunar New Year, and the beginning of the Year of the Dragon. I don't personally celebrate this holiday, but I was inspired by a lot of lovely art on Twitter and also the silly idea that there are so many anime (and other cartoon) characters I like that are associated with dragons in some way.

I'm really proud of how the art turned out (even though I'm still very much a beginner and have to use reference photos), so I wanted to share the art here too. Four photos under the cut!

I have been awake since 4:30am (for anxiety reasons, I suppose) so I figure I might as well go ahead and write this post. It's been a weird week. The weather was unseasonably warm for a few days, but I was too busy with work to really enjoy it 😩

Despite work doing its best to steal all my free time, I did manage to enjoy a few things this past week.
