It was a busy workweek for me, so I was too exhausted most evenings to get a lot of fun things done. But I did manage some!
I've been continuing to enjoy this year's
snowflake_challenge! I did skip challenge #3, but I've managed to do the rest so far. The questions this year have been interesting to think about, and I've reflected a lot more than I expected to. I haven't done a ton of commenting on other people's posts yet, but I've been reading most of them!
Anyway, if you missed them, here's my posts for Challenge 4, Challenge 5, and Challenge 6.
***
I read this NPR article about moving around more each day. I mean, it's pretty common sense, but I'm the kind of person who needs a reminder like this every now and then 😅
***
I actually remembered to put together a
tokurecs post this week to share some fun art from Twitter. The post is here

fandomtrees reveals have been pushed back a week, so there's still time to get in a few extra gifts! I can't help with the ones who don't have enough gifts yet, but I did manage to write one treat this week. I'm really excited to share it after reveals.
I wanted to do more but the only fic my brain wants to write lately is for Ultraman Arc. (I'm working on a very self-indulgent whump fic right now that no one else but me is gonna enjoy 😂 and then I'm gonna write some self-indulgent fluff!)
Still, I may try one more time to write something else for fandomtrees before it's over. We shall see how it goes 🤞
***
Anyway, speaking of Ultraman Arc... my thoughts on episode 24: 😭😭😭😭😭
This series is so good! I'm not ready for it to end next week! Yuma and Shu are just such fascinating characters to me. I wanna keep having adventures with them 😭
But, hey, that's what fanfic is for at least. And I still have a ridiculously long list of ideas to write...

Lastly, in offline life, it snowed!! For the first time in at least 2? or 3? years!
It rolled in Friday evening, so I got to leave work a little early that day. Then I got to enjoy watching the snow fall that night.
Thankfully, we only got about an inch, and it was sunny enough yesterday to start melting most of it. So really, this was the perfect snowstorm for us. It didn't make work a headache, and it didn't stick around long enough to be annoying.
I'm happy I was able to watch it fall, which is what I really love about snow. But now I'm ready for warm weather to return PLEASE!!
Anyway, that's it for today. Wishing everyone a pleasant week ahead!

Date: 2025-01-13 01:58 am (UTC)That indeed is what fic is for!! I want to try making something myself sometime when I can. (And I'm interested in that whump fic! 👀)
We've gotten some snow around here too at times. But also around an inch, sometimes a couple, but it also goes away really fast.

Date: 2025-01-13 05:39 pm (UTC)Ahh I'd love to see you create something for Arc sometime! It's definitely a fun fandom to write for. (The whump fic is my favorite "we're trapped under rubble and one of us needs medical attention" trope 😁 I hope I can finish it this week, but we'll see how it goes)
Snow!! Glad y'all got some too! It's so fun to watch, but I think it's ideal when it melts away quickly 🤭
