I'm in the midst of the big annual work project, so this past week was a blur. And this coming week is gonna be a lot too 😵‍💫 I just got back from more work this afternoon actually, but it went well at least. So I'm making it through! Light at the end of the tunnel and all that.

Let's get to the summary:

The biggest thing this week has been

halfamoon. I managed to post everything I had planned so far! Just little ficlets, but I'm happy with them. (I've lost two subscribers on ao3 tho since posting all these fics 😂?? which could be unrelated. But still...)

(But we'll see 🤞) The work project is probably what'll finally kick my brain out of extreme writing mode tbh.

Anyway, once I'm done with the work project, I'm gonna dig in and check out what everyone else has posted. There's a lot of cool stuff so far!

I had fun reading info about the Ultraman Arc movie premiere earlier this week. This article is a pretty comprehensive report on the stage greeting stuff (not the movie itself). It's in Japanese, but Google translate does a somewhat decent job with it. (Surprisingly) (It still can't get some names right tho)

Was searching for some Kamen Rider Ryuki stuff on YouTube one evening and accidentally stumbled across this really cute old video of the cast promoting various CDs and DVDs. Fun stuff!

I haven't had a chance to watch the episodes myself yet but

pr2017 is doing a watch-along for Jetman. I'm hoping to catch up this week so I can join in next week! I've never done a group watch before (most things are inaccessible to me, but this show is on Tubi!) so I'm looking forward to participating (even if I missed the beginning of it) 😅

Also speaking of tokusatsu, the

tokuficathon will be back for another round in March! I'm excited to leave some prompts and fill some prompts (hopefully people request series I have actually seen 🤞) (I need to get back to watching Abaranger and PGSM...)

Speaking of watching things, I regrettably did binge-watch a short j-drama yesterday. It was... not great. But I also couldn't stop watching it??

Anyway, it was a BL series from 2022 called "Senpai, this can't be love"

Why'd I pick it? Well, since I'm on a Ryuki kick right now, I searched Viki to see if there were any dramas there featuring Matsuda Satoshi (who plays Ren). And this was the only thing that popped up. So I'm like, sure I'll try it out, even though he's in a side role and won't be there too much.

And then I looked up the cast and like EVERYONE WAS PREVIOUSLY IN VARIOUS KAMEN RIDER SERIES??? 😂 This was just so funny to me. I haven't actually seen any of those series yet. But I cannot even describe the face I was making when I was like "another Kamen Rider??" going through the cast list.

(Whenever I watch Japanese things with my brother, I'm always like "I've seen this guy in [various other things]" and he joked that that's because there's only 15 people in the Japanese entertainment industry. Anyway, I'm beginning to think it's not a joke 😂)

To spare y'all a rant, I will not go into why this drama wasn't great, but like, in hindsight, I probably should have just started watching Jetman 😂

Lastly, it has been a while but I spotted another bald eagle this week! It just swooped by while I was driving and then landed in a nearby tree. I had mistaken it at first for a buzzard until I spotted the white feathers.

When I was a kid, you never saw them around here. So I think it's really cool that I catch sight of them at least a couple times of year now. They always look so majestic to me.

That's it for this summary! I'm going to go half-heartedly watch the superbowl tonight. (I have been promised lasagna in return 👀 so, worth it.) Wishing everyone an exciting week ahead!
