It's a dreary rainy January day here (with possibly a few snowflakes later today), so I've not felt like doing very much today other than listening to basketball and making soup. But life will be busy and stressful this week, so a rest day is good!

Many things to share as usual:

snowflake_challenge continues to be a lot of fun this year, though the introvert burnout kicked in so I've fallen behind in commenting. Hopefully I'll catch up this week.

In case you missed it, my posts for challenge #6, #7, and #8. I started on a post for #9 but I haven't finished it yet! Maybe later today? Or tomorrow? Who knows?

TV stuff!

There's a teaser trailer out now for season 2 of Netflix's live action One Piece series. I really enjoyed season 1 so I'm looking forward to this season too. I don't remember much of the anime bc I watched the terrible/silly 4Kids version back in like 2006ish and Baroque Works is around where I stopped, so this'll be extra exciting for me to not know what's gonna happen.

There's also a teaser trailer out for Gavan Infinity now too (the new Toei tokusatsu series that'll replace Sentai next month). I'm excited by the sci-fi setting and that there are so many women in this! But I'm not sure I'm gonna watch this unless they decide to simulcast it like Zeztz. (Pirating Gozyuger was such a hassle this past year, and I just don't wanna do that again)

I'm watching the new Star Trek series, Starfleet Academy, now and I'm loving it so far! I rambled a bit about the episode 1 characters in this post because I was just so excited by it.

My weekly TV reviews are here. I'm gonna miss having an Ultraman series to watch weekly for the next six months 😭 (I guess it's time to catch up on some older series instead!!)

I will maybe write a full series review of Ultraman Omega sometime. But maybe I'll wait until I get to watch the rest of the English dub version first. In the meantime... I'm already thinking about fic to write 😁

Music stuff!

A new song from East of Eden: The weight of choice

I'm excited for new music from them, but this one is a little too slow for my taste. It'll probably grow on me though.

There's also a new music video from Queen Bee: Personal

Also a little too slow for my tastes, but not bad. The music video is mildly unsettling at some points, but that's generally par for the course with Queen Bee music videos.

Fandom stuff!

fandomtrees had reveals yesterday! I received some excellent Ultraman Arc icons from

linky and

sarajayechan, so I may be using just Arc icons for my posts for the next few months 🤭🥰 and I also received a wonderful Suki/Ty Lee hanahaki fic! This is always a fun event!

I also was able to gift fics to two people.
☆ First dream of the new year (Kamen Rider Zeztz, Baku/Nem) (my first Zeztz fic!)
☆ To the ends of the earth (bnha, Todoroki/Iida) (this one has gotten two spam bot comments so far 😒 I'm sorta remembering why I don't write bnha much anymore... But the giftee liked the fic and that's all that matters!)

In other news, prompts are out for this year's

halfamoon here. I hope I have time to make a few things🤞 I'd like to write some meta, but we shall see. This is always a fun event I look forward to every year!

Nothing to report in my offline life. It was an uneventful week. The calm before the storm, really. Lots of things are stressing me out this coming week so I'm just not gonna talk about them :)
