Weekly summary: July 21 - July 27, 2024

alchemicinkIt was not a great week for sleep 😵💫 so I've been trying to catch up today while I can. Otherwise, things have been pretty uneventful for me. This'll be a pretty short summary this time.
I'm still having so much fun watching Ultraman Blazar and Ultraman Arc! When I'm tired at night, it's been nice to just sit down and watch (or rewatch) an episode or two.

I'm ready to write my next Blazar post (eps 11-15) and Arc post (eps 3 & 4), so hopefully I'll have them up soon. In the next day or so probably.

Music stuff!
It's been pretty quiet for music releases lately for all the bands I keep up with, but East of Eden put out a new music video this week: Crossroads
I think this is my favorite song from them so far. The violin and bass parts are really cool.

Reading/writing stuff!
One YGO fic rec: A very sweet heartshipping fic where Yugi and Ryou go strawberry picking
I also finally made my post about the most recent Seasons of Drabbles round. Just sharing my fics along with several recs for a variety of fandoms.
And lastly, I finally finished my pod_together fic!! It turned out a little differently than I originally envisioned, but I'm happy with it 🥰 and it's gonna be really awesome once ansa does the podfic part. I can't wait to share it in September~

And finally, the Olympics!! I'm always excited to watch as much as I can each time this event rolls around. I will sit down and watch literally any sport 😂 I'm especially excited for breakdancing this year!!
My brother and I watched the opening ceremony on Friday (the rebroadcast, so I hear some stuff was cut), and it was fine. Not my favorite opening ceremony I've ever seen, but it wasn't awful. I did enjoy the heavy metal bit with Gojira and headless Marie Antoinette. But the Parade of Nations is always my favorite part, and I didn't enjoy the boats that much. I like getting to see everyone's outfits, and the cameras were too far away for good shots. Plus, all the rain 🙄
I got to watch a variety of sports yesterday, including road cycling and beach volleyball. Lots of fun! My TV can only pick up one NBC channel, and even that is only in the early morning/late night, so idk how much else I'll be able to catch. Hopefully my brother won't mind me crashing at his place to watch more this week. He's mostly just interested in basketball.
We shall see!
Anyway, I hope to finally catch up on my reading list this week. I see everyone's posts but haven't been able to comment as I wanted. Better luck this week, I hope.
