Weekly summary: Nov. 9 - Nov. 15, 2025

Do y'all remember last week's summary post where I opened with "it's gonna turn cold again, but at least it's not snow"?

Anyway... we did actually get a little bit of unexpected snow on Tuesday! What the heck?! 😂

It has been a weird week lol. Let me talk about it:

Firstly, some TV things:

The Ultraman Omega English dub is finally happening! I still don't know why it was delayed so long, but it's better than not getting it at all, in my opinion. I love shows that offer more than one language option 😊 Anyway, here is the announcement about it earlier this week. I got to watch episode 1 on YouTube Saturday, and I liked it. It's a little strange after getting used to the Japanese voices, but it's not bad at all. I'm excited for more! (I think they'll be released weekly on YouTube?)

In other news that's tangentially Ultraman-related, I read earlier this week that Kaneta Sho, who played Shu in Ultraman Arc, is one of the new cast for the upcoming season 2 of Shogun. What?! I'm excited for him! I liked him a lot in Arc, obviously, so I'm curious to see him in a different role. (A Hollywood role?!) I suppose this means I'll have to watch Shogun season 1 eventually 😅

In TV updates that aren't Ultraman-related (🤭), my brother and I finally finished Stranger Things season 3! (We are trying to speedrun so we'll be finished by the time season 5 comes out). Anyway, I liked season 3 as well as I liked the previous ones. But also, I think watching so much tokusatsu has ruined me because I kept saying "oh a practical suit for this monster would have been neat" much to my brother's annoyance 😂

I did not get a chance to finish my weekly tv reviews post (tho I did get to watch everything). Hopefully I'll get that up sometime tomorrow.

Music stuff!

It's been a while, but here's a new music video from Trident. The song's good but I'm not a fan of the camera work in the video. (Spinning and flashing warning)

East of Eden is also back with new song Our Fate. I love their outfits in this, and this is also my favorite song out of the one's I'm sharing this week.

And Zilqy is still promoting their debut EP with a lyric video of Bleeding Love. They aren't bad but I wish I liked them more.

Other fandom things:

fandomtrees is currently open for signups. I'm trying to decide if I should sign up or not... I'm leaning towards signing up though at the moment

seasonsofdrabbles had fic reveals yesterday. You can browse through them all here. I didn't write anything this time (😢) but I'm excited to see what everyone else did.

Also, I had time to read one fic this week that I want to recommend: it's a pre-canon Stargate SG-1 fic about Daniel/Sha're (which is an underexplored relationship in fandom, in my opinion). This fic was cute 🥰

Lastly, offline life. It has been such a strange week. (In good ways and bad ways)

I'm not gonna talk about the bad stuff (it involved the usual gun violence in the town where I work). But the rest of the week was better.

The most exciting thing was that my family took a trip down to South Carolina for my aunt's wedding. We left Friday and came back today. I didn't really want to go, but I made it through somehow 😂 And I got a lot of good food! I will probably make a post this week just to share a few nice nature photos I got while traveling. It was down in the low country, so it was a lot of marshes and fancy Spanish moss.

It was just so weird to go from like 35 degrees and a bit of snow on Tuesday at home to 75 degrees and sunny at the wedding Saturday 😂 November, make up your mind on the temperature!! (Especially bc I had to work outside for a bit during that cold day and it was miserable 😭😂)
