August?!

August already?!

I can't keep up. Last month's goals post is here

Let's check in to see how successful I was in July:

Surprisingly not bad, considering how busy I was 🥳 (thank goodness for easy goals lol)

1) finish my

pod_together fic

Success! I hit the early writing deadline for the first time ever 🥳🥳🥳 I'm actually really happy with how the story turned out and I can't wait to hear the podfic version of it!!

2) write a drabble for

toku100challenge

Success!! Thought this was going to be a failure, but I managed to throw one together this week. Gozyuger has been teasing Rikuo backstory all month, so I was waiting to see what would happen. And then nothing did, so I just went ahead and finally wrote the fic anyway 🤭

3) write a little tdbk fic

Success?? I'm still surprised at myself but I did manage to write a little drabble. I'm very proud of myself because I wasn't sure I'd ever write this ship again

4) work on WIPs

Success! This was an easy goal of course. I'm poking at a lot of things right now, but a Gozyuger character study for Ryuugi is getting the most focus at the moment. Mostly because I'm having a lot of trouble with it! Hopefully I'll be able to figure out the problem soon

And now, some August goals:

1) write another little tdbk fic

Might as well put this on the list for August too! The prompts I have are from a summer bingo, and I'd really like to write a few more drabbles and then post them all together

2) write something for

femslashfete again

I'd been eyeing the prompts in July but didn't have much chance to write them. But I really would like to get back to it again! If only I could stop being so indecisive about which ship to write each week 😅

3) work on Gozyuger fics

In addition to the aforementioned WIP I've been working on, I had some other fic ideas for this series I'd really like to write too. I really should take advantage of being inspired while the show is still airing (instead of waiting until after it's over). This series is the perfect opportunity for me to write humor fics again, and I really miss getting to do that

4) work on Ultraman Arc fics

I started a new fic a few days ago and I'm really excited about it! The idea has been taking over my brain for the past few weeks, so I'm finally getting a chance to let it free 😁 I've been writing a lot of short things this year, but I think this one will be much longer than usual 🤞 (it's technically gonna be a one-shot collection, but I have 19 of them planned out so....... 😁😁😁)

This last goal isn't exactly a writing one, but I feel like I should include it anyway:

5) crosspost my completed fics to ao3

I currently have 10 finished fics (not counting the pod_together one) that need to be posted to ao3. I've been taking a break from posting just because I needed to recalibrate my brain for a bit (break myself of the need for instant gratification lol), but ao3 is an archive and I feel sorta incomplete without having my personal archive updated. So I want to get back to posting in August. Maybe I'll take another break after that? I don't know yet. We'll see how I feel after posting everything.
