April '24 writing goals

Once again, it's time to make some goals for the month (and see if I can stick to them) (I probably will not 😂)

March's post is here

Let's see how March's goals turned out:

The answer is very badly 😂

1) Ladies bingo

Failure! I started off strong on this, and then my enthusiasm faded away about halfway through. And then it was too close to the deadline that scrambling to finish felt too much like work to be enjoyable.

Oh well. Better luck next year! I'll probably try to finish some of the fics at some point though because I do like the ideas.

2) finish a WIP

Failure! 😂 listen, this month was unexpectedly extra busy at work! I didn't get to write much at all anyway, and I'm suffering from not being interested/enthusiastic about my WIPs again.

3) Toku100 and PRiS fic project

Success! (And failure! 😂 in hindsight, this should have been two separate goals lol)

But anyway, I did get one double drabble written for Toku100, and I'm very pleased about it 🥰

I didn't get around to messing with the PRiS fics yet though. Just have been too busy and I need to rewatch some episodes first.

And now for some April goals:

1) finish literally anything

😂 I'm making it really easy for myself this month. If I post anything this month then that counts as success! Doesn't matter if it's a WIP or something new. We are going to be successful in April.

I think doing these monthly posts has really shown me my tendency to frequently WIP hop. I may be excited about one idea here at the beginning of the month and then lose enthusiasm a few days later. And then get excited about a new project idea that I might not even have time for. I used to not be like this! I used to have concentration skills! 😂

It's an interesting pattern for me to realize. But I'll definitely need to figure out a way to get my brain to settle down, so to speak.

Anyway, we'll see how things turn out by the time May rolls around.

Best of luck with your goals for this month! I loved the drabble you did for toku100challenge! :D It was wonderful to read it and see you create for the challenge. <3 And I really feel you for the "finish literally anything" goal! That's what I want to do with any of the three fic wips I have right now. XD

Good luck finishing things! :D Sometimes WIPs need a bit of a rest before getting back to them haha, I hope this works well for you!

Thanks! I feel optimistic about finishing at least one thing this month 😁 and yes, some of these WIP ideas definitely need to sit a bit before I try poking at them again XD
