Something your favorite character would like
My favorite character varies, but at the moment it's Kurama from Yu Yu Hakusho. And Kurama's whole thing is plants and flowers, so here's some red clover in bloom that I photographed last year:

Red clover in bloom

A little story about this photo: I got home from work that day and Pops asked if I wanted to see some red clover

Me: sure, I was not even aware it came in a red variety

Pops: I planted it for the deer

Me: oh, do they like red clover better than white clover?

Pops: nah, they were just sold out of white when I went to buy the seed

Me: ...oh πŸ˜…

Something that makes you laugh
The Star Trek Minus Context account on Twitter (and other social media sites) is my favorite thing ever. The alt text is always entertaining along with the actual photos, and I have saved many screenshots over the years. I love how weird and wonderful Star Trek can be

The Doctor on the holodeck dressed as a priest

A fandom place you would like to visit

Ouran High School Host Club in drag

I'd wanna visit the Ouran High School Host Club, but specifically the day they're in drag

A fandom creator (pro or not) you'd like to meet
I'm skipping this one because honestly idk

Something you find comforting
This lyric from the Gacharic Spin song I wish I: "Don't be destroyed by words no one is saying"

Hana from Gacharic Spin

I always interpret that as a reminder not to listen to anxiety when it says things like "everyone secretly hates you" and such. Nobody actually said they hate you, right? So don't tear yourself up over something that hasn't even happened. Might seem weird to others, but I find the reminder comforting. (I have listened to that song a LOT in the past year)

The video is here

Something from a favorite TV series or movie from your childhood
Hahaha I did a rewatch of Power Rangers in Space last year and that was a fun ride. I'd forgotten all about everyone's 90s hair

Carlos from Power Rangers in Space

Ashley and Cassie from Power Rangers in Space

Andros from Power Rangers in Space

Some other fun things that happen in this series:
β˜† Andros (red ranger) accidentally commits grand theft auto
β˜† Carlos (black ranger) gets blackmailed into riding a merry-go-round with someone TWICE
β˜† Carlos and Cassie (pink ranger) get stung by an alien bug and then they turn into giant alien bugs themselves. And what really cracks me up about this is that it's the exact same premise of a Stargate SG-1 episode which aired just a few months AFTER the Power Rangers episode... 1998 was the year of bugs!!

A piece of clothing you love

HSJ in their gaudy concert outfits

You never said it had to be MY clothing 😁

This is Hey!Say!JUMP (hsj), a Japanese boy band I have somehow been a fan of for over a decade. And maybe 75 percent of the reason I like them is because their concert outfits always look ridiculous like this πŸ˜‚ This isn't even the best example. I'm convinced their stylists HATE them

(My favorite guy is the one on the right in the blue fur coat πŸ˜…)

A book or song with a color in the title
White Light by Superfly was the first song that came to mind!

Something only someone in your fandom would understand

What a fun and -- you're right -- silly list! It's quite a variety, which makes it interesting.

Although not the same series, we've been watching some 80's TV and, yeah, the hair and the clothing are a hoot!

Thanks for participating in Snowflake today!

I loved MMPR so much, but I've never seen Power Rangers: In Space. I do want to at some point though, if only for the sake of Bulk and/or Skull completionism, haha.

I know that at one point all the Power Rangers shows to date (as of then) bar maybe the one that was currently airing was on Netflix, which is when I got back into MMPR as an adult, but I think that sadly those days are gone. I really ought to buy MMPR on DVD, honestly, because it's very comforting nostalgia fodder. I know that there is basically next to know Skull in In Space, because Jason Narvy left the show to go to college and (I think, correct me if I'm wrong) he just has a cameo in ep 1? I'm sad to hear there isn't a lot of my beautiful son Farkas Bulkmeier though! Maybe I'll watch his episodes and then if I'm hooked watch the rest of the series, haha.

Ahhh, that's what I get for making confident statements about shows I haven't seen, haha. Good to know, thank you. And I agree, having physical media is very reassuring. I bought a pile of Porridge DVDs (the show, the Christmas specials, the spinoff, and the movie) recently and I looking forward to having them in my hot little hands.

Haha, yeah, very true.

Porridge is a British sitcom from the 1970s, which I watched for the first time when it came out on DVD when I was a teenager (not sure what happened to the DVDs tbh but they weren't expensive to replace) and have recently revisited and gotten obsessed with again. It is not perfect and is very much of its time re: jokes at the expense of minorities, and I'm not sure if I'd recommend it to people who didn't already have nostalgia for it going in necessarily, but I find it very funny and for me it's a good comfort rewatch. The one bit of the Porridge cinematic universe I wasn't able to find on DVD was a once-off mockumentary that was made in 2003 about the post-canon life of the main character, but it is on YouTube and I was able to see it there at least.

I remember that clover; that’s such a funny story! And it’s totally Kuwabara’s colour β™‘

That trek account is gold; I always enjoy seeing when you share it πŸ˜‚

"Don't be destroyed by words no one is saying" - that’s so profound!

That hair!!!!!

What is it with je and costumes. Both hilarious and mind-boggling.

Now I’m curious about the last one! - oh wait going off the comments is it bnha-related?
