Another week has come and gone. My brain was mashed potatoes this past week, but I'm looking forward to a better week.

Here's a few fun things from the past week:

Of course, I've gotta start off with the season finale of Miss Scarlet and the Duke. I was a little worried they might not stick the landing on this last episode, but I was pleasantly surprised with this one. The episode brought together all four of our main investigators: Eliza, William, Moses, and Patrick Nash. Really, this kind of team up is the only thing I ask for in this series. Their interactions are so funny and entertaining!

If I talk too much more about it, there will be spoilers, but overall, I'll just say it was a satisfying end to the season that left me wanting to watch season 4 immediately. Hopefully the actual wait for new episodes isn't too long.

(Yes, I am still considering writing fic for this series......)

Moving right along, here are two bits of excellent fan art I really enjoyed this week:

this iidamina art made me want to go work on the iidamina fic I've had in my gdocs for like a year now. They're such a random rare pair, but I just think their relationship would be fascinating to explore

Hilarious concept art for Bakugou in an alternate Muppet universe 😂 10/10. No notes.

Since I decided last week that I probably needed a break from heavy metal, I decided to indulge in some nostalgia and listen to Hey!Say!JUMP's "Jump World" album. It's their second album and was released all the way back in 2012.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I really liked this era of hsj's career. It was a weird time in everybody's lives and the singles were at their most unhinged. How weird! How fun!

I think if I have time soon, I might write up a separate post just sharing all my thoughts on this album. There are just too many to cram into this summary post lol

Speaking of listening to things, the Braving the Elements episode I listened to this week was a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at some of the art design for Avatar the Last Airbender. I think these interview episodes with crew members are always extremely cool to listen to. I always learn so much about television production from this podcast.

And speaking of ATLA, I really enjoyed reading this cute Zukka fic recently. It's a modern AU where Zuko is an EMT and Sokka faints. The fic has such a great voice, and it was pretty funny too.

The most exciting news of the week for me, however, was the announcement from Viz that they've added some (subbed-only) anime series to YouTube to watch for free! The downside is that it appears to be region-locked for only people in the US to enjoy, but I assume anyone elsewhere could find a way around that.

Anyway, I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to watch all of Inuyasha again (I only have the first 3 seasons on DVD) and all of Sailor Moon for the first time (I've only previously seen bits and pieces).

Now that I'm gonna take a fic writing break for a little bit, I might actually have time to watch them (and more). I'm looking forward to it... soon, hopefully.

That's a wrap for this week! I'm gonna finish up rewatching PRiS soon, which means that I've been procrastinating on actually watching the last five episodes. LOL self-sabotage is my weakness here.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week!
