alchemicinkI took a few days off work for the Thanksgiving holiday, which was fantastic because I've not had a real vacation all year. So it's been a nice week. (I'm gonna be sad to go back to work tomorrow lol)
But let's get to the rest of this post!
Two fic recs this week that were very entertaining. The first is this hilarious Monty Python drabble from Seasons Of Drabbles. It perfectly encapsulates the humor style of the series 😂
Secondly, here is a cute YYH genfic featuring the main team dealing with mundane problems. It's very cute!

A quiet week for music, but I do have one video to share. If you recall from several summaries ago, there was a new band I liked called East of Eden. They're back again now with a new song, This Moment. Not bad.

In fic writing updates, I finished my pbnha fic and it got my total Ao3 wordcount up to 749,995 words. Just five away from 750k 😂 I think this is a pretty cool accomplishment considering that I'll celebrate 10 years of writing on Ao3 in January.
I also did the first/last lines fic meme that was going around. You can read that here.
I'm trying to finish up some WIPs this week, but as usual, I'm lacking focus. So we'll see how that goes...

Thanksgiving was very nice this year. (It easily surpassed last year's holiday which was spent in a hospital waiting room.) The weather was nice, so Pops and I took a walk and looked at all the trees. I helped Mom a bit with cooking this year (though she still did most of it.) And I got to watch basketball with my brother. We had a good time hanging out.
Actually, I thought about making a separate basketball post, but I'm too lazy for it today. Basically, I'm enjoying our basketball team (NC State) so far this season. There are a lot of new guys, but I like them so far and think they have potential. I'm hoping for a good season this year! The women's team is also having a great season so far too. They easily beat the number 3 team in the nation yesterday. It's harder to find their games on TV though, so I don't know if I'll get to see them much.

Lastly, I started watching Turn A Gundam yesterday. I wasn't planning on starting anything new until I finished everything else I started first, but this series is only available until December 10 and it has 50 episodes. So I'm gonna rush through it faster than I'd like.
I watched the first 6 episodes yesterday, and am enjoying it so far. The main character, Loren, is adorably optimistic. (He will absolutely be broken by the end of the series, I'm sure). Other things I like so far: steampunk vibes; the inclusion of multiple dark-skinned characters (that feels so rare in anime in general); everyone referring to the main Gundam as "the one with the mustache" 😂
The next episode promises me Loren in a dress, so it's really hitting on all my favorite things so far lol.
