July '25 writing goals

We're halfway through the year! (What?!) June was entirely too busy that it flew by too quickly. Anyway, I'm doing sunshine_revival this month, and the first challenge happens to be about setting some goals. So I figure my usual writing goals post will work perfectly for that.

Usually I check in with how successful I was with last month's goals, but I didn't set any in June to give myself a break. And I have to say that break worked perfectly. I wrote a little bit but otherwise rested, so now I'm ready to go again this month.

So let's set some July goals:

1) finish my pod_together fic

I've gotta do this because the deadline is this month 😂 But I'm about halfway through writing the fic right now, so I'm making good progress. I'm very excited about it. I always have a fun time collaborating on this project with bluedreaming (who does the podfic part)

2) write a drabble for toku100challenge

I've got an idea for a Gozyuger drabble that I've been thinking about for a few days, so I think this'll be easy to do! I also have a few other toku100 prompts that I've been meaning to write for a while, so I might try to work on those this month too

3) write a little tdbk fic

My friend put together a summer bingo card for the bnha ship Todoroki Shouto/Bakugou Katsuki, and I actually have some ideas for some of the squares. My brain sorta disengaged with this ship earlier this year so I didn't think I'd write it again, but hey, I will not question inspiration when it hits!

4) work on WIPs

A very generic goal, but I have several that I've been poking at over the past few months, so I shall continue to poke at them this month too. Maybe I'll even finish a few!

And that's that! Hopefully July will be a good writing month for me, unless work gets crazy busy again. We shall see how it goes 🤞

Out of curiosity, which Tokusatsu series is your fave? I am only peripheral to some of my friend's shows like Kamen Rider haha.

Good luck with all the other writing projects too! I’ve been doing fan_flashworks recently and it’s so nice how encouraging dipping my toes back into a writing prompts community thing can be.
