Weekly summary: July 6 - July 12, 2025

alchemicinkAnother week down. I was excessively tired this past week, so I didn't do much at all. (Even the writing I planned to do 😭) Such is life.
Onwards to other things (somehow mostly Ultraman this week lol):
Tsuburaya announced plans for their 60th anniversary celebration. They certainly have a lot of things in the works! There's a link to a nice Ultraman franchise video in there too that was a good watch.
I didn't save the link to this next announcement but I read that the Ultraman Omega English dub isn't coming out until November or December. What's up with that?? Nevertheless, I'm glad we're still getting a dub at all. I appreciate multiple language options!
Ultraman Connection's website has two brief character introductions for Sorato (Omega) and Kosei

Speaking of Ultraman Omega, I really enjoyed episode 2 this week! I actually put together a separate post about everything I watched this week here so I wouldn't be rambling about five different shows in the weekly summary instead 😂

In news that is only relevant to my interests, Takaki from hsj finally made an Instagram account 😱 He was the last member of the group without any social media, so that's really funny to me. I honestly thought he'd probably never do social media. The account coincided with the premiere of the drama he's in so I wouldn't be surprised if they made him make an account 😂 Anyway, it's been years but it still feels surreal that any of them are allowed to have social media at all 😂
Unlike Takaki, however, I still don't have an Instagram account and never will lol

Music stuff!
I'm not keeping up with Super Eight (formerly Kanjani8) these days but YouTube rec'd me this live concert version of Jackhammer which is an old song I really love. Mostly I had to link this because there's a part where Yokoyama lights a cigarette and then immediately throws it away and that made me laugh so much 😂😂😂 What was the point of that
And, circling back to the new Ultraman series, here are the music videos for the opening and ending songs: Bright Eyes by Ash and Missing Link by MindaRyn featuring Ash. The two videos are connected but I must admit, I don't understand the storyline 😅 but whatever. I do like both songs.

sunshine_revival which is continuing all month. I haven't felt inspired to do any of the challenges since the first one. But hopefully I have time to catch up and read everyone else's responses this week.

Lastly, nothing exciting to report in offline life. It remains way too hot here. And work is gonna be busy this week. But I'm making it through!

I used to have an Instagram but I stopped using it several years ago and recently-ish I removed almost everyone, changed the username, and deleted all my photos and comments. So that almost counts as not having one, maybe? (Also I ever open it anymore.)
Maybe that smoking is bad????? Not sure 😂
Hopefully some future challenges are more interesting! I’m trying to decide if I want to write a drabble from the pov of a house or a forest/mountain.
I hope this week is going okay!
