Weekly summary: Oct. 13 - Oct. 19, 2024

I feel like October is flying by and I don't even remember half of it. It'll be Halloween before we know it. (When will I finish my Halloween fics?? 😭)
Anyway, here's how the week went:
Started watching Kamen Rider Ryuki! I'm definitely enjoying it so far. I wrote a post about my thoughts on the first four episodes here
***
seasonsofdrabbles signups open tomorrow and run through Oct 28!
I'm still waffling on whether or not to sign up this round, but I'm sure I'll write a treat or two regardless.
***
The only music stuff I have this week is this interview with Wagakki Band and their upcoming best album and group hiatus. It was nice to read an interview in English about their decision. I'm still sad they're gonna take a break but after 10 years, it's well-deserved!
***
Ultraman Arc is getting so good!! If this show were around when I was a young teen, I can guarantee I would have made it my whole personality 😂 I would have been thinking about it 24/7
I just really love sci-fi and heroes, okay!! 😁 These past two episodes have really ratcheted up the sci-fi stuff, and so if I wasn't hooked before, I definitely am now.
Idk if I've mentioned I'm watching the English dub first each week, but I'm really enjoying it!! The voice actors are all doing an excellent job so far, but I gotta say that Christopher Wehkamp (who voices Arc) was the MVP of performances in episode 15, in my opinion. (He also voices Aizawa in the bnha dub, so I can't stop thinking about that whenever I'm watching lol)
Anyway, next week is another recap special. But I'm so impatient lol, I wanna see episode 16 now!
And before I forget, here's Ishido's diary entry for episode 13. A lot of talk about coffee in this one 🤭

I did very little writing (or reading) this week, but I did manage to write a little drabble for
femslashfete yesterday. Decided to write Trini/Kimberly from Power Rangers (2017) again. You can read it here.
I'll crosspost it to ao3 eventually. I still have two others I've also written for femslashfete prompts that I need to crosspost too
(I just get so disappointed when posting wlw fics to ao3 these days 😩 so I keep procrastinating on it)

Lastly, the last garden update for the year. My eggplants and peppers were still blooming and producing, but we've had some really cold nights this past week. So I think frost might have gotten them. I'm still watching, but I don't think I'm getting much more out of them.
But it was a good run, so I'm not upset! This was my first year growing everything in pots, and I'm glad it was so successful. All the plants lasted a lot longer than they do when I plant directly in the ground, and I didn't have to mess with weeding the garden like I usually do.
The tomatoes were the only ones I sorta struggled with, but that was more due to the weather than anything else. (Excessively rainy July meant that many of my tomatoes split open just as they were getting ripe enough to pick 😭 I still got enough, but not as many as I expected)
Now that I'm a little more familiar with container gardening, I'm hoping next year will be even better and I can add a few more different things.
We shall see. I have a few months to think about it.
That's it for this week's summary. Wishing everyone a lovely week ahead!

Oh the toku holiday exchange!! Thanks for the heads up! I think I've watched enough to sign up this year 👀 I'm still deciding on seasons of drabbles. But it's always a fun time. Good luck to us both!!
