I had a busy week at work scrambling to meet a deadline, but I managed to make it in time! Hopefully this means next week will be a little quieter. (Wishful thinking probably 😅)

Here's a few things from the past week:

After having to skip my last couple of turns, I got to write something for shiritori this week. I waffled too long on deciding what to write though, so it's one of the shortest things I've ever written lol. It's just a bit of Yu Yu Hakusho dialogue that I may or may not flesh out at a later date. You can read it here at

Speaking of writing, I have been working on a few different things this week, including my first G-witch fic! It's for a Halloween fic prompt event, so I'll be posting it in a few days. I'm also working on some treats for the Trick or Treat exchange, and I'm gonna start soon on Seasons of Drabbles. (I have so many ideas like usual.)

I'd like to post at least 50k words on ao3 this year, and I'm a little over 13k from that now. With the amount of time left in the year, I'm not sure it's a reasonable goal, but I'm gonna try at least!

I didn't get as much chance to read this week, but I did listen to this funny FMA Brotherhood podfic where Team Mustang eats at a Waffle House. What a fantastic idea for a fic 😁

Music stuff! Not too many things this week.

Garnidelia is back again with another new song. And I think I saw on Twitter that they announced a new album soon.

I shared Queen Bee's new song "01 (zero ichi)" recently, but now it has a music video too. I enjoyed it but a few content warnings are necessary: violence, blood, guns, hospitals.

This song is for the anime Undead Unluck, which I don't know anything about, but I think the music video probably has more context if you do.

A new season of the Braving the Elements podcast was finally announced! Unfortunately we have to wait until January 2024 for Janet Varney and Dante Basco to start covering ATLA season 3, but I'm just glad they're not canceled. So I can't complain.

I really enjoy the podcast, which generally alternates between episode recaps and cast/crew interviews. All usually very thoughtful and entertaining. If you want to check it out, I listen here but it's available on all podcast platforms I think.

I went to a local fall festival on Saturday. It was technically for work (I was taking photos), but mostly I just enjoyed walking around and chatting with people I hadn't seen in a while. It's nice to be able to get out again.

There were games for kids, a couple of music performances, and a ton of vendors. The turnout was really good too, which is not always the case around here.

My neighbor was selling baked goods, so I bought some delicious pumpkin bread 🎃

I then spent the evening with family celebrating my dad's birthday. All in all, it was a nice Saturday to wrap up a decent week.
