New year!! And it's starting off on a good note for me (so far). I have a lot of things for the summary this week actually, so this is gonna be a long one:

Watching stuff!

I did a questionnaire about dramas I've watched in 2025 here. It was fun to look back at everything. I watched more than I expected.

And because that post reminded me about how much I loved If It's With You, I ended up rewatching it again on New Years Eve. It's so cute and wholesome, I just love this little series so much 🥹 (I suppose I can link my spoiler-free review of it here)

I'm almost done watching Kamen Rider Amazon! I only have three episodes left, so I might watch those this afternoon. It's been a wild ride, but I've enjoyed the show. I'll write a review this week, and I promise it won't just be a list of Most Nightmare-Inducing Beastman Suits 😂 (it may be a good chunk of it though)

Fic/fandom stuff!

My last fic of 2025 was another Ultraman Arc fic: What's mine can be yours (Yuma/Shu)

Who is surprised? I remain obsessed 😅

Also, author reveals happened for the tokuhols exchange, so here's what I wrote:

I was so pleased with how all of these fics turned out. Especially the Ultraman Omega one that ended up so much longer than expected. But I liked that I got to write some interesting character studies/gen fics too. And the romance fics were cute 🥰 This is such a fun exchange every year.

Since it was the end of the year, I posted my annual fic overview. I'm happy with the results!

I wish I could sign up for the exchanges, but big annual annoying work project is happening soon, so I can't add the stress of another deadline right now. But maybe I will be able to treat! I did manage to write two things for fandomtrees yesterday, so I'm happy with that 😊

Ultraman stuff!

I have been reading reports/enjoying photos from the Ultra Expo stageshows happening in Japan over the holidays. The most important things:
☆ Kondo Shori's arms 👀 (he got to swing around a halberd as Sorato for a bit)
☆ there was a special "Buddy Night" event featuring not only the actors from Omega, but also from Arc and Blazar too. It was so nice to see photos of Totsuka Yuki and Kaneta Sho again (Sho's hair is getting long!)
☆ during the Buddy event, Kosei made a pun about wearing a blazer (Blazar) and then apparently the camera cut to Blazar who of course had no reaction whatsoever, and then Kosei got down on the ground and apologized to him for his terrible pun 😂

Music stuff!

A new live video from Band Maid: without holding back. It's an instrumental, so it's great to see everyone jamming out. (Misa on bass is SO GOOD) But the biggest surprise is Saiki on the keys?! 👀 She's their vocalist, so her playing an instrument now too is a pleasant addition.

In other news, Hikaru from hsj inexplicably made a twitter account?? Hikaru, why would you do that? Anyway, almost all of his tweets so far start with "post" because of course he does.

And lastly, offline life: I had New Years Eve and New Years Day off (which made Friday at work feel like the most Monday Friday ever lol)

I've been sleeping better and eating better the past few days, which has been a blessing because the end of December was kinda rough. (Maybe I was mildly ill and didn't know it? I'm feeling so much better now)

And I figured out yesterday how to listen to the radio broadcast for my favorite college basketball team on my phone, which means I can keep up with more games going forward! I sat in my living room and colored while listening to yesterday's game. Our team played like trash, but I had a nice time at least 😂
