This week somehow felt like it stretched on for a thousand years. But maybe that's because I was so exhausted. I don't even know why, because I wasn't even that busy. But it is what it is...
Some weeks your brain just feels like it's leaking out of your ears. And that's okay 😅 let's just skip to the rest of this post:
I like to browse NPR when I'm bored, and I read this neat article about NEAT (non-exercise activity thermogenesis). To sum it up, it's about incorporating more ways to move your body in everyday life, even if you're not doing regular exercise. So like, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, for example.
Anyway, I enjoyed the article because I actually do a lot of these things already. So I feel marginally less guilty about not being able to maintain an exercise routine. But yeah, I love parking at the back of parking lots to get some extra steps in. I get up and walk regularly at work. I garden (when the weather isn't unbearable). Sometimes I dance in my bathroom while combing my hair after a shower.
I'm already wondering about other ways to include more movement in my day. I still want to one day be able to exercise regularly, but until then, these things will be good too.

Music stuff!
This week's hsj video is Cosmic Human, which was the theme to a drama Inoo was in back in... 2018 I think? The years blur together. Honestly, I don't care much for this song and I think the music video is a little dull too. But Takaki and Keito both look nice in their various outfits! (I miss Keito so much ðŸ˜)
There was another Wagakki Band song this week, Honor of Love, which I believe is being used for a video game just judging by this music video. The song isn't as memorable to me as The Beast was (I mentioned that one last week), but it's not bad.
I didn't get to watch much of anything this week, but I did finally go check out the music video for Slash by Yama, which is the theme for the second season of G-witch. It's really growing on me, and there are English subtitles too! I listened to it a lot yesterday.
There's also a live version too which is really excellent!!

There's not much else to share this week. My brother did kindly mow down half my garden for me, to get rid of the stuff that was done for the season. I still have the peppers and the okra tho! And a few squash plants that are hanging in there.
It was so hot this week, we were under a heat advisory for a few days. That's never fun. But yesterday there was a nice, steady breeze that I actually got to enjoy sitting on my porch for a bit. It was almost like being at the beach, except my view was of a soybean field instead of the ocean 😂
Also, I watched a groundhog make his way across the yard. That's less fun.
Hope everyone has an excellent week ahead! I'm hoping to maybe have a chance to finally get back to writing more posts here this week!
