Weekly summary: Oct. 26 - Nov. 1, 2025

alchemicinkI can't believe it's already November. The last week of October flew by so fast, I hardly got to do anything for Halloween! Oh well, maybe next year.
Anyway, this week's summary:
Fic writing stuff!
I signed up for the toku holiday exchange 🎉 I'm so excited for it! I'm hoping to write so many treats 😁 I wish more people had requested Ultraman Arc, but it is what it is. There are plenty of other requests I can write instead.
Speaking of Arc, I posted two fics this past week for Ultratober: The soup delivery mission and There's no time
Both were WIPs I'd been working on for a while and then finally had an excuse to finish/post for the fandom event.
I did the alphabet fic titles meme that had been going around. It was fun to go through all my titles and remember some silly ones I'd forgotten about.
And, of course, a new month means new writing goals

I appreciate all theficortreat requests I received this year! It was more than I expected. It was my first time participating and I had fun. Definitely want to do it again next year

Unexpected news this week: Super Sentai is ending its 50 year run after Gozyuger wraps up early next year. Toei hasn't made an official statement yet, so I feel certain this was leaked before they intended to make the announcement.
Personally, I just don't feel very strongly about this news. I still have plenty of Sentai series left to watch. It has been fascinating, however, to watch people on Twitter make a lot of incredibly baseless claims about the situation... (a good reminder about why I don't interact with fandom on Twitter these days...)

Music stuff!
No new music videos from anyone this week, but Exist Trace did post a this photo (twitter link) of them dressed up as characters from Anpanman for Halloween!

Made my weekly tv reviews post as usual.
Also, my Ultraman Arc blu-ray finally arrived! (What was the point of pre-ordering when it came three weeks late? 😂) Anyway, the important thing is that I finally got to watch the movie! (I watched it previously without subtitles, so I only understood about 75 percent of it). The movie was so good 😭💜 I am gonna have to make a separate post sometime soon to ramble all about it

Lastly, offline life: not much to report! I was back to work this week after the sick time/vacation time off, so I was very tired every day 😅 I did get some recognition on the monthly company call tho, so I am proud of that.
