Weekly summary: Oct. 19 - Oct. 25, 2025

alchemicinkBit of a crazy week for me. Things were down at first (was sick) and then up again (was on vacation). Some weeks are just like that I guess.
Anyway, let's get to it:
Music stuff!
Everyone decided to finally release new music this week 😂
Band Maid celebrated their new EP with a music video for Present Perfect. It's nice, but didn't immediately hook me like past Band Maid songs.
I think I probably mentioned this before but Toki, formerly from Aldious, recently joined a new band called Zilqy. They released their first music video this week: Carry On. I gotta be honest... the vocals aren't doing much for me. But I love the music here. Toki is so good at guitar ♡
Also, you can now listen to the two new Ultraman Omega songs from ASH x MindaRyn. Unbreakable is an insert song, and Kyoumei Revolution is the new ending song. (Fun fact: the kyoumei revolution video was filmed in the same place BiSH filmed Stereo Future. It's such a cool-looking location. I wish I knew more about it!)

I finally FINALLY finished one fic for Hotties Haunting the Narrative. It's a Kamen Rider Gavv fic (Sachika/Glotta): Something about curiosity and cats
I'll probably never write Gavv fic again, but I really liked my idea for this, so I gave it a shot.
I wish I could have written more for the event but my motivation is fizzling out. I'm focusing my remaining energy on finishing two fics for Ultratober instead. (I may not be successful)

My usual weekly TV reviews are here. I enjoyed everything this week, even if I also had a few complaints.
Also, I made an impulsive purchase earlier in the week to get Denji Sentai Megaranger on dvd. It's my favorite, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity while it was on sale for a ridiculously low price.
All this to say... I got distracted from continuing my Gingaman watch again 😅

Lastly, offline life. I'd already planned to take a few days off for a (long overdue) vacation. But then I woke up Tuesday morning with a stomach bug, and so I ended up spending more time at home than intended 😅 I haven't been sick with a virus in forever, so it was not fun. But thankfully, it was quick. By the time my vacation days started on Thursday, I was better and ready to relax.
It's been nice not having to worry about work for a few days.
But the highlight of my vacation was a day trip to the beach on Saturday! (I did not go to the actual beach while I was there 😂) Mom and I went to the aquarium and then a fun Christmas themed giftshop. I will make a separate post about the trip later, but I gotta say, the highlight was when an alligator swam right up to the glass in front of me. Neat!
Anyway, that's it! Monday is my last vacation day, and then it's back to work for me. Sigh.
