Weekly summary: June 1 - June 7, 2025

alchemicinkI worked late four out of five days last week 😩 this coming week will probably be crazy too. And yet, somehow, I still managed to gather a few things for this post 😅
Starting off with my usual monthly writing goals post. Though I actually didn't set any goals for June! I'm trying to catch up on other things at the moment.
But even though it's not in my goals, I signed up withbluedreaming for ![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
pod_together again this year! So I am working on that already. Very excited about our collab again! 🥰
Signups for pod_together are open until June 14 if anyone is interested in participating. The event pairs up writers and podficcers.

In other fic writing-related stuff: here is the fills roundup post for the latesttokuficathon round. I had a lot of fun filling prompts for this! (Might eventually fill a few more too)
And in "I'm not gonna write this but I'm having fun thinking about it" stuff: I had a silly idea for a Kamen Rider Gavv AU.
(I think toku fandoms need more AUs in general lol)

Ultraman stuff!
A full trailer for Ultraman Omega has been released. It looks fun! I don't have any other thoughts about it yet though. We'll just see how it is when the series premieres next month.
Also, I belatedly realized Ultraman Connection posted a little recap of the final Ultraman Arc stage greeting. I've previously linked some Japanese articles about it, but I appreciate this one being in English. (I will eventually update my resource post to include this)

My "Twitter thoughts on Dreamwidth" post this week was about rabbits. Exciting stuff. (It's not really 😂)

For fun, I translated the menu from the cafe in No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger. It is probably exactly what you'd expect from the show 😂
Gozyuger in general has been so fun lately. I'm enjoying it so much every week, even though sometimes I feel like it's a little too fast paced. This week's episode changed the opening song/visuals and that was such a funny gag 😂😂😂 Also, the new Polar Bear-themed character is named Kumade Mashiro (which roughly translates to White Bear) because OF COURSE.
I love this silly show.

Lastly, in offline life, as I mentioned before, work's been busy 😵💫 but I'm making it through! And one of my late nights last week was going to the Chamber of Commerce banquet. So I got to see lots of people I enjoy talking to, and I got free dinner. Not bad!

I also agree Toku fandom needs more AUs, I'm working on one right now actually! :D I am curious about Ultraman Omega too, the premise for it intrigues me. And Gozyuger has really been such a blast. I love it so much and I look forward to it every week a lot!!

More AUs!! Good luck with the one you're working on 🥳 I'm playing around with a couple of AUs for Ultraman Arc myself and thinking about others for other toku fandoms too.
The amnesia angle for Omega really has me curious 👀 there's a lot of potential there. Gozyuger has been such a highlight of each week so far! Like, what nonsense will they get up to every week!! (I've listened to the Gozyu Polar song from episode 16 like 100 times today lmao)
