May '25 writing goals

Oh here we are again, arriving at a new month somehow. Work got busy in the middle of April and derailed some of my planned writing time, but it wasn't too bad. It just made the month fly by too fast!

Last month's goals are here

Let's see how I managed with them:

A mixed bag, actually, but I'm not mad about it.

1) continue working on Ultraman Arc fics

Success! I did work on a couple of different fics, but still didn't manage to finish them yet. If I could stop getting distracted by other things, that would help immensely 😂

2) finish the Azula/Suki fic

Failure! For some reason, putting this on the list meant that my enthusiasm for the fic immediately disappeared 😩 I don't know why. It's kinda a serious fic so maybe I'm just not in the mindset for it at the moment. I'm hoping to get back to it eventually tho

3) write a fic for "If it's with you"

...I don't know whether to say success or failure 😅 I did work on this fic! I wrote the first couple of scenes and have an outline for the rest. But then I got busy and put it to the side to work on other fics, so it's not finished yet. I have high hopes that I'll finish it sometime this year tho!

4) hanami fics

Success! I finished two hanami-themed fics so far (still working on a third one). I haven't posted them yet, but I'm happy with how both of them turned out. And one actually accidentally fits a tokuficathon prompt so I might post it as a fill there!

So, all in all, not a bad month considering everything I had going on. And I worked on plenty of things which weren't on my goal list too.

Let's pick some goals for May:

1) actually finish at least one Ultraman Arc WIP

Okay, it has been long enough. I really should actually wrap one of them up 😅 (they aren't even really long. I just keep worrying too much over them to finish)

2) seasonsofdrabbles fics

I gotta do my assignment! And then I want to write a few treats 😊

3) tokuficathon fics

The current round wraps up at the end of May, and I know I can still do fills afterwards, but I'd still like to get a few more done before then. So many good prompts and ideas 🤩 (and maaaaybe I will fill one of my own prompts too lol)

And I think that's it for goals this time. I don't have any other specific projects I'm working on at the moment, so we'll just see where the whims take me.
