Last night's light show

alchemicinkWe were able to see the aurora borealis last night! The Northern Lights all the way in North Carolina. Imagine that!
Pops said it was only the second time he's ever seen them here in his life. We missed the opportunity back in May when they also stretched this far south. I think it was cloudy here that night.
But last night, we got lucky enough to slip outside at the right time to catch a glimpse. To the naked eye, it was just a very dark red glow in the sky to the north. But our phone cameras were able to pick it up a lot better. So I snapped a few pics! (I'll stick them under the cut)

Despite being brief, it was a really cool experience! 😊
