I had some time earlier in the week to read some fic, so here are two recs: firstly, a very interesting YYH fic featuring the Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Keiko trio. The endgame ship is Yusuke/Kuwabara. And secondly, I enjoyed this YGO fic which is a really fascinating dystopian AU. The ship is Kaiba/Joey
I wish I could get into the groove of fic writing, but I didn't make much progress this week. Tried to write something for![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)
femslashfete but ran out of time before I finished it 😩 Maybe this week I'll be more successful.

TsuPro finally revealed this year's Ultraman series: Ultraman Teo
You can read about it here. That article includes a link to the trailer, but I will also share it directly here. It'll premiere in July, like usual.
I'm excited for the series! It's not lost on me that the main character is an (interplanetary) refugee. So I am curious to see how the show handles that.
In other TV news, I posted about how you can watch Akane-banashi on YouTube over atanime_manga. The show has been delightful so far.
I'm dying to have someone to talk about it with, but as usual, it feels like no one else is interested 😩 story of my life! Maybe once it is released on Netflix too (next month I believe) more people will be interested.
Anyway, my weekly TV reviews are here. Also, maybe it's not obvious, but I always post these with the hope that others watching any of these shows will chat about the episodes with me if they want.
Anyway, that's enough whining from me. But I do feel better getting that off my chest. Moving on...

Yesterday, I stumbled across mention of a new Shounen Jump manga series which just started up, so I decided to check it out. (If I catch a series early, I can read the whole thing for free lol)
Anyway, the new series is called Drawn to the Fire, and it's basketball-focused (which is why I immediately wanted to read it 😂). I really enjoyed the first chapter! The protagonist has just started high school and he's planning on giving up basketball, since he did so poorly in the middle school national tournament. But by the end of chapter one, he's convinced to join the team. How? Well, you'll have to read it. But I'll say I had a lot of fun reading it myself! I love the dynamic between the two main guys already.
After I read that first chapter, I noticed there was another new series which started the week before, so I read the first two chapters of that too. It's called Roku's House of Oddities. It's so silly but it made me laugh so much. The protagonist, a member of the school's science club, goes to disprove a legend about five curses. What ends up happening is that he accidentally summons all of them, and they (for reasons explained in the manga) end up living in his house. This is exactly my kind of humor. Right now it's definitely more silly than scary, but I'm curious if things will get more horror-esque later on.
So these are my two new manga fic recs! I'm still regularly reading Ichi the Witch (good) and Shinobi Undercover (okay) too, so this'll make four manga I'll be keeping up with. I haven't read this much manga since I was in high school 😂

I did take Friday off of work, and it was a nice day. I did some cleaning in the morning, and then was out and about for a while (purchased my garden plants), and then had dinner with my brother.
On Saturday, I planted everything (well, all but one thing) and also went to an estate sale with Pops. I got a $30 cookbook there for only $5, so I'm thrilled.
Today, I'm gonna rest up and hopefully do some fic writing (it's the only thing I wanted to accomplish this weekend but haven't yet).
