It's too damn cold 🥶 We got a couple of inches of snow yesterday, and I gotta say, I'm ready for winter to be over 😒 Or at least back to normal winter weather in North Carolina.

Anyway, it's a new month and I have lots to share from the past week!

Fic writing stuff!

I found out there's a Stargate rec community thanks to someone kindly rec'ing one of my fics there (and leaving me a comment to let me know). The community is

stargateficrec. I'm gonna have to check it out more thoroughly soon! (My rec'd fic, btw, was the one where Teal'c experiences fast food 😁)

Currently, I'm still working on writing a bunch of different fics for different things. More details will be in my monthly writing goals post that I'll put up later today. But a few shout outs:

snowflake_challenge wrapped up yesterday. It was a nice time as usual. I think my goal for next year will be to comment even more than this year. I always fall behind on that.

I enjoyed reading this essay about the manga Ichi the Witch. I've been reading the series since it started and I feel it's really underrated so far. (The current arc is stressing me out tho 😅)

My usual weekly TV reviews are here. The Starfleet Academy episode was SO GOOD. I'm probably gonna write a Trek Thoughts post about Klingons at some point this week lol

But also, the group announced a world tour this year, and then a hiatus for 2027. They deserve a break, but dang, it'll be a long year without them.

Offline life has been all about the weather lately. Here are a few photos of my iced-over chestnut tree from last Sunday.

Other than that, I have been working on big annoying annual work project. Hopefully will be done soon, and I can be less stressed about it.
