Rec time! I stayed up way too late last night writing this, and then didn't even post it 😂 here it is on my lunch break now!

Challenge #6
Top 10 Challenge.
I'm going to share 10 (actually just 8!) of my favorite music videos from Japanese artists/bands, in no particular order.
(These will all be links to YouTube. I'm sorry I cannot embed the videos. I write all my posts from my phone 😅)
☆ Bi-Li-Li Emotion by Superfly
This isn't a music video with a storyline or anything like that, but it's just fun. You can tell they're all having a good time filming, and I absolutely love everyone's outfits. I listen to this when I wanna get excited about something, and find myself doing to dance along with them.
☆ Kuchizuke by BUCK-TICK
(I wanted to link to official music videos only but this is the only version I can find on YouTube)
I randomly think about the visuals in this music video all the time! I love the way they filmed this. The overlays making everyone look, at times, like ghosts are just great for the overall vibes. And I love that something different is happening at the table each time the camera pans back around to it.
☆ slash by yama
I don't usually go for animated music videos but the visuals for this one are lovely, and go so well with the song.
☆ Zero Ichi by Queen Bee
[Content notes: violence, guns, blood, hospitals]
This song is an opening to an anime which I haven't watched (Undead Unluck) so I don't know if the storyline here references what happens in the show. But regardless, I find myself rewatching this one a lot. I just really like the way the fights shift as the song continues, as Avu-chan (the lead singer of the group who plays the main person in the music video) learns how to fight back.
☆ Synchronicity by Wagakki Band
This is a cute one! The storyline is that the man and woman protagonists switch bodies, and then they end up dancing together and still having a good time 😊 I love everyone's outfits in this one. Plus the song is jazzy and nice, in my opinion
☆ Ginger by Exist Trace
One of my all-time favorites!! Firstly, this is just a very catchy song by the band and a little different than their normal style. But secondly, the music video storyline is something like they're a bunch of jewel thieves but they keep backstabbing each other? (I'm not quite sure but it's fun to speculate) And thirdly, I love absolutely everyone's outfits in this one too 🥰 (the bassist is my favorite)
☆ Kachi-Kachi Yama by Gacharic Spin
Another one I put on this list just because it's super fun and colorful. They are all having a blast! I frequently get the "kin kin kintarou yattarou" part near the end stuck in my head
☆ Maewomuke by Hey!Say!JUMP
I love a ton of hsj music videos, but this one never fails to crack me up because it's just so relatable 😂 Come watch the guys deal with minor inconveniences such as accidentally washing your wallet, sitting on your glasses, burning your toast. And think to yourself "yeah we've all been there, buddy." Plus the dance parts are just good silly fun.
