Weekly summary: Mar. 2 - Mar. 8, 2025

Not a bad week! I don't have much to share though because I've been doing a lot of writing in my free time, but not posting any of it yet 😅

But I do have a few things to talk about this week:

Music stuff!

I was surprised this week to see Oreskaband featured in a new song! (They've kinda been on a hiatus for a while) But they did a fun little collab with a Catalan band called Doctor Prats. Anyway, the song is fun: moriagatte

Also, Hanabie has a new song out this week too: Tasty Survivor

I'd been seeing a fun fic stats meme going around lately, so I did it myself here. Some of the results were what I expected but some were not!

Anyway, speaking of writing, I have been working on several things this week. I wrote a messy angsty Ryuki ficlet... but I'm not sure when I'm gonna post it 😅 I'm still thinking about it...

I've also been working on some Arc fics, and also something for tokuficathon. I finished that last night but I'm still struggling with a title. But hopefully I'll get that fic posted today! It was a fun one to write.

I've got my eye on several other prompts, but I'm also feeling indecisive, so we'll see what I end up working on next.

When I wasn't writing this week, I was watching stuff.

Jetman continues to be a lot of fun! I'm really enjoying the watch-along over at pr2017

I also picked up my Megaranger rewatch again. (I usually watch an episode while getting ready for work in the morning) This series is so delightful 🥰 I love every single character so much.

Also, in a strange bout of generosity, my brother gave me access to his new Disney+ account 😱😂 So now I have a lot more to watch soon. I started first with the 2019 Fruits Basket series. (The manga is my favorite of all time, and I have the first anime series. But I've not had a chance before to see this version. I like it so far!)

Lastly, in offline life, it was a mostly uneventful week. But I did go yesterday to see the local youth theater group do a performance of "The Great Gatsby"

They did a fantastic job! I was especially impressed with their set design and costumes this time.

The younger members of the group didn't participate in this show (due to the content) so they're doing "Charlotte's Web" in a few weeks. So I'll probably go support them for that show too.

I love theater but we don't really have anything here locally except for this little group. So I'm happy to support them whenever I can!

I didn't know Disney+ had anime! My friends were raving about Moon Girl on the platform as well, though I don't have access haha. Happy watching! Glad the writing is flowing well :D

It popped up as one of the genres when I was searching around! But my brother's account is also bundled with Hulu, so maybe that's where all the anime came from? I don't know 😅 I've not heard of Moon Girl but I'll have to look it up 🥰
