Made it through another week! Work feels like a neverending game of catch-up these days, but I did have a few things to enjoy this past week. Let's get to it~

Ousasa episode 3 did not disappoint. Ayaka and Tougou spent the whole episode hanging out in Hakone. There were some cute flashbacks of Tougou and his high school friends, Hachi and Sayo. His two friends are engaged to each other, however, and he's pining after Sayo so things are a bit awkward. After Ayaka does some meddling, that plot point seems to resolve itself by the end of the episode.

Anyway, plot nonsense aside, I've just been enjoying Yamada's acting in the show. He's always been really good utilizing facial expressions to convey what's not verbally in the script, and that really shines through in this series. He's always making interesting faces when the other characters aren't looking at him.

I'm excited for episode 4 because it seems like Ayaka is finally gonna spend some screentime with her old friend. Gotta love silly rom-com conflict!

In other news, I feel like my big highlight of the week is that I successfully made curry bread! I used the recipe in this video for reference. It was surprisingly much easier than I thought, but frying things is always very tedious to me so I'm not sure I'll make it again any time soon. But at least it turned out delicious!! I'm not a great cook, but I'm always thrilled to have tried something new.

In fic writing things, I posted two more fics:
Pausing for Petals (iidakiri, pre-relationship)
rainwater running down her face (Kudelia/Atra, getting together)

These are the last two completed fics I had to post, so now I've gotta go finish some more 😅 but anyway, I'm proud of both of these fics! Iidakiri is an extreme rarepair for bnha, but they were really cute to write. I think I legit ship Iida with just about all his classmates 😂

I was really happy with how the Kudelia/Atra fic turned out too. There were only 22 fics for them on ao3 until I posted mine! I wish there was more because I absolutely love these girls together ♡

Speaking of fic, I also signed up for two challenges this week that I'm really excited about. The first was [community profile] seasonsofdrabbles (sign-ups close TODAY) so I'm looking forward to writing some tiny fics for multiple fandoms this month. The other is [community profile] intoabar (sign-ups close May 14), which seems like a fun crossover challenge. I love crossovers but have never managed to finish any of my ideas yet, so this'll be a fun opportunity to finally focus on one.

Moving right along, I finished watching Denji Sentai Megaranger this week! I'm sad that I have no more episodes to watch, but overall, it was a fun series. I have no complaints. And now that I'm done, I may have time to go back and write some episode recap posts for fun. I just want more people to enjoy how silly it is 😁

Lastly, I wrapped up this week by getting my garden planted. Mom helped me out because I had a lot of vegetables to plant this year. I'm hoping they all turn out well. I'm not, however, looking forward to chopping all the weeds that try to grow too. But that's an inescapable chore of gardening. Such is life! If nothing else, it'll be good exercise at least...

I'm hoping for a quiet upcoming week, but I doubt work will let me rest. Oh well. Wishing everyone a lovely week!
