Another busy week, but I managed to swing a vacation day on Friday! It was a nice mental rest for my tired brain after several nonstop weeks of busier-than-usual work.
So here's a few things to share from the past week:
I actually spent my vacation day doing some much needed spring cleaning! Which I thought was pretty funny considering I'd just read this NPR article about spring cleaning tips earlier in the week. Perfect timing!
I do enjoy these "life kit" articles from NPR because they organize info into nice lists, which I deeply appreciate. Helps me remember the tips better!
***
Didn't get a chance to read much at all, but I do have two recs:
I enjoyed this G-witch star wars AU which was pretty light on the Star Wars lore thankfully because I don't remember much lol
If you enjoy whump, then I really recommend this OPLA fic featuring Zoro as the unlucky one getting poisoned. It's all from Sanji's pov, and the story kept me engaged the whole time.
As for my own fics... I think I've given up on reaching any of my writing goals for the month. But that's because I've given myself a fun little fic project to do instead 😂 I can apparently only write these days if I trick myself into it by assigning myself some sort of challenge.
Anyway, so I'm working on a bunch of hanami-themed fics for a variety of fandoms and ships 🌸 I hope it turns out well. (I hope I can finish it!)
Also, in fic event news,
seasonsofdrabbles is opening nominations today for the next round. And signups open in a week. I will probably sign up this time after skipping the last one!

Music stuff!
HSJ's weekly video was Boku wa Vampire, from one of their older albums (though this performance is relatively recent). This song always makes me laugh for several reasons: 1) they try so hard to be sexy in this but it's just funny instead, 2) I think they say "vampire" no less than 20 times in the lyrics, and 3) the fandom used to have an in-joke about papayas thanks to this song 😂
A few months ago, YouTube rec'd me a Matenrou Opera song, which reminded me of their existence. And it did the same this week because they released a new song: evil. Coincidentally, I've been listening to an old CD this week with a few Matenrou Opera songs on it... and yep, the vocalist remains very easily identifiable.
Lastly, another lovely concert performance from Band Maid, this time for endless story. I enjoy this song a lot, and this performance was very sweet. If I had money right now, I'd definitely buy this concert on DVD!

This week's episode of 23.5 briefly featured basketball and ghost hunting, so I really enjoyed it 😂 This series continues to be incredibly cute and cheesy (it's very tropey lol). The side couples are pretty cute too, so that's a nice bonus 🥰

And speaking of basketball, it was another good week for my team! The NCAA tournament is underway, and both the NC State women's and men's teams are doing well so far! Last night's men's game was a nailbiter as it went into overtime, but they easily pulled ahead in the extra minutes and won!
This tweet is a nice compilation of the team's best player. But the whole team is just so fun to watch!
Anyway, that's it for this week! I'm hoping my brain will be less fried so I can interact and post more here again. Wishing everyone a lovely week ahead!
