Weekly summary: Feb. 22 - Feb. 28, 2026

Another week has come and gone. How did February fly by so fast? Anyway, I'm looking forward to some warmer weather soon.

Music stuff

Let's get the sad stuff out of the way first: Luna Sea's drummer, Shinya, recently passed away :(

And rap duo Chelmico is going on hiatus. They'll still be doing solo stuff though.

None of the bands I follow released any new music this week, but I didn't want this whole section to be depressing, so here's another fun Vansakan video instead. I love their outfits here!

TV stuff

Enjoyed this little interview with Starfleet Academy's Bella Shepard (who plays Genesis).

Also, Starfleet Academy has apparently already finished filming season 2. I sure hope we get to see it and not have Paramount write it off for taxes like they did with Prodigy 😒

For anyone really excited about the new season of Netflix's live action One Piece, you can watch a little clip here. It's cute 😁 The new season comes out on March 10... which is a Tuesday?! I hope I can avoid spoilers until I get to watch with my brother.

And lastly, my weekly TV reviews are here. They'll probably be pretty Andor heavy for the next few weeks.

And lastly, offline life. My birthday was on Wednesday 🥳 I had a nice time celebrating with family. There was lots of good food, so I'm happy.

Actually, it was a busy week in general. We had a big local economic development announcement one day that all of us in the office went to. Even the governor was there. So that was kinda neat. It's supposed to create hundreds of jobs that pay double what the average yearly wage is here, so it's gonna have a really big impact.

And I got up yesterday and went to early vote. Saturday was the last day to do it before the primary on Tuesday. So I'm glad I was able to get that done.

The weather's supposed to be nice today, so I will hopefully take a walk later 😊
