Weekly summary: May 5 - May 11, 2024
Another week has flown by, but it was a good one! At least, looking back on it now, any bad stuff has already been forgotten. So I'm grateful for that.
Anyway, this week's summary is very fic reading/writing heavy. Idk how that happened 😅
Starting off with some fic recs!
I really enjoyed this FMAB fic following Ed, Greed, Darius, and Heinkel during the months leading up to the Promised Day. It's a good mix of funny and serious, with a really engaging plot. I accept this fic as canon now 😂
Here is an interesting YGO fic where Ryou is pining for Kaiba. There are also ghosts involved!!
I really loved this bnha drabble featuring Iida/Kirishima 🥰 too cute!! (One of my favorite rare pairs!)
And lastly, this FMAB fic featuring Riza/Rebecca was really sweet. It's a nice little rare pair!

And I also wrote another 23.5 fic! But I posted this one to ao3 just because I wanted to share the fluff before episode 10 aired because I knew it would be angsty. (It was, but more on that later in this summary)

intoabar which I am excited for again this year. I picked Hiei (from YYH) as my character, so I'm interested to see who he'll meet this year.
I also wanted to signal boostfemslashfete which looks like it'll be fun! I didn't have time to write for the first prompt, but hopefully I will get a chance for this week's prompt. If I can decide on what ship to write...
(Fun fact: I made a list of all the wlw ships I'm interested in writing, and it was almost 50 ships 🤯 this will NOT help my decision paralysis 😂)

HSJ's weekly video was the concert performance of Union
I actually prefer the CD version over this one, but it's better than nothing! I selfishly wish the camera had been on Hikaru playing bass the whole time 😁

And lastly, this week's 23.5 episode! After some nice fluff, we have returned to conflict again. Overly dramatic teenage conflict with the main girls, but conflict nevertheless. I really like this show because it makes me nostalgic for my own teenage years 😅 But I think if I scrutinize the plot too much, it will fall apart. (So I won't do that!)
One really funny thing from this episode, however, is that I spotted an accidental continuity error. One of the actresses had noticeably darker-than-usual hair in one scene. Whoops! It was kinda distracting but I was amused 😁
On that note, that's it for this summary. Wishing everyone a wonderful week ahead!
